Cockney cash machines attract different opinions

"Fancy some moolah for ya skyrocket?" "Fancy some sausage and mash?"

These are just two phrases which are appearing on a number of London cashpoints in a bid to inject some humour into the UK economy and take consumer minds off the difficult financial situation. While there have been mixed reactions from the UK public regarding the local dialect cash machines, there are plans to roll out the operation across the UK. We could soon have Brummie cashpoints, Geordie cashpoints and Scottish cashpoints which would all have their own particular dialect and slang.

While the vast majority of UK public found the Cockney cashpoints an interesting start to the day there were some people who were confused as to whether these were actually real cashpoints or potential scams. The fact that there was little promotion ahead of the launch of the five test cashpoints was due in the main to the surprise factor which the operators had hoped for. Now that the "cat is out of the bag" it does seem highly likely that we will see a number of similar cashpoints installed up and down the country.

This is a simple but highly entertaining solution to the traditional boring UK cashpoint although whether it catches on in other areas of the UK and potentially overseas remains to be seen.
