What do we know about the Conservative Party's financial policies?

As slowly but surely Gordon Brown's tenure as prime minister appears to be coming to an end focus is now moving on to the Tory party and David Cameron. However, concerns are starting appear with regards to specific Conservative Party policies, many of which have yet to be clarified within the party and announced to the public. So what do we actually know about the Conservative Party's financial policies for the future?

The quick answer is very little because David Cameron has very much played his cards close to his chest so far and he is unwilling to give the UK government ammunition as we approach the next general election. However, he will need to clarify his policies going forward because many of the UK public are unsure as to exactly what he stands for at this moment in time. Historically the Tory party has been very much pro-business and while he has criticised a number of Gordon Brown policies of late, more specifically the rescue packages, he has on the whole voted in favour of the vast majority of Gordon Brown's moves.

We will continue to report on developments within the Conservative Party over the next few months as we approach the inevitable general election next year.
