Are Business Leader And MPs At Odds With The UK Population?
As more and more MPs rush forward to protect their massive parliamentary expenses it has been reported that the managing director of Centrica (the owner of British Gas) has suggested that customers who cannot afford the rising cost of heating should 'wear two jumpers instead of one'. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
Jake Ulrich was also quoted on a number of controversial comments including recommending that customers turn their thermostat down if they cannot afford their heating, and amending their spending habits accordingly. All of this has come from the man who's company has just advised the UK public that the average gas bill in the UK is set to increase to over £1,000 a year!
Many of the UK population are under the impression that both MPs and those in high ranking business management positions are treating the UK population with utter contempt. MPs are lining their pockets with expense beyond the income of many UK citizens and the energy companies are pushing prices higher and higher and showing strong contempt for the plight of their customers.
At some point in the not too distant future the worm is going to turn and MPs and big businesses are sure to feel the backlash from the UK public.
