A Bad Start To Wedded Life

Upmarket wedding list company Wrapit has hit the skids with a flurry of angry customers hitting the internet to tell the world about their experiences. It has been alleged that some customers have been waiting up to 9 months for gifts which have already been bought and paid for, some even stored in the company's warehouse with customer tags attached.

While it is not clear exactly what is going on at the firm there are grave concerns that Wrapit is on the verge of going out of business, even though a spokesperson stated that there was 'a realistic chance of all gifts being delivered'. The problem now for many newly weds is the fact that guests have paid for their gifts and stand at risk of not receiving them in the foreseeable future.

The gift service and wedding service industry has always been one which seems to struggle when the economy takes a serious downturn. Margins seem to be fairly thin in the industry which is very much a commission based service where companies such as Wrapit receive payments for hosting wedding lists with certain retail outlets.

Even though all hope is not yet lost it does not bode well for the immediate future of the firm and the many newly weds hoping their gifts will arrive on the big day. Customers who have paid with a credit card should be able to reclaim the funds in question from their card provider if the goods are not delivered.
