Is it Time To Build Your Eco House?
While the eco housing revolution has never quite taken off in the UK it seems that now may be the time to try and bag a prime plot for your dream home. Industry experts are suggesting that the recent fall in property and land prices has brought more people back into the market with prices more reachable. It also seems that more people are looking at both eco and energy efficient housing as a way to reduce their cost of living.
Many experts are also highlighting the fact that eco housing is very much top of the council planning list and provided there are benefits to the economy there should be little problem gaining planning permission. Indeed there are still many local councils who are aggressively promoting the benefits of eco housing and offering an array of grants and other financial assistance.
In a strange quirk of fate the ongoing fall in property prices may just be the boost the eco housing market has been waiting for. The chance to reduce everyday running expenses, move to a new dream home and receive financial assistance from the authorities may be too good an opportunity for some to miss.
