David Cameron wants to cut public sector pay
In an interesting development David Cameron has confirmed that the Conservative party would look to reduce the pay packages of those highest up the pay scale in the public services sector. In what does in fact resemble a potential Labour party policy it is believed that David Cameron is in favour of reducing remuneration levels for those at the top in order to bring harmony to the overall public-sector workforce.
This is an interesting idea because ultimately the Labour Party will have great difficulty in attacking these plans which are in effect "robbing the rich to pay the poor". After a few weeks of uncertainty and difficult polling results it would appear that the conservative party is now more back on track than ever before with many believing the introduction of the Saatchi advertising agency could well be behind this improvement in fortunes.
David Cameron has made the economy and the public sector the focal points of his general election campaign so far and it has to be said that recent days have seen an increase in confidence in the Conservative party. Whether this will continue until the election remains to be seen, with the Labour Party unlikely to sit back and watch David Cameron take the limelight yet again.
