Gordon Brown slams Conservative economic policies
Gordon Brown has today gone on the attack suggesting that Conservative economic policies throughout the UK recession have been wrong on every occasion and his own determined efforts to help the UK economy have proved right. Historically the Conservative party has been the more trusted of the political parties with regards to the economy although over the last decade we have seen a change in this particular belief.
It will be interesting to see how the Conservative party reacts to this constant criticism from the UK government as David Cameron is losing his advantage in the voting polls and will need to work hard to maintain his lead. If, as expected, the UK economy continues to improve throughout 2010 we may well see Gordon Brown snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in the next election.
Only a few months ago the forthcoming election seemed to be a "done deal" with the Conservative party miles ahead and Labour racked by infighting. While infighting has continued within the Labour Party, Gordon Brown has benefited from the economic upturn although his spat this week with Alistair Darling may well give the Conservative party its best opportunity to snatch back the support of UK voters.
