Tories set to split the Labour Party and business community
It is becoming more and more evident that the Conservative party is placing itself between the Labour Party and the business community. In truth, the Conservatives have had a lot of help from Gordon Brown and Lord Mandelson over the last few days as their attack on the Conservative party's national insurance strategy continues unabated. So will this parting of the ways cost Gordon Brown the next election?
There is no doubt that the business community is very influential within the UK business and social environment. If business leaders believe that the Conservative party's policy is the best way ahead then there is every chance this would be relayed to their workforce. The bottom line is that each and every worker in the UK would like to pay less tax and like to see tax rates reduced in the UK. The argument that taxpayers need to cover public sector investment and public sector spending is falling on deaf ears at the moment as the UK banking sector for one continues to benefit from the billions upon billions of pounds of taxpayer's money ploughed into the system.
David Cameron now has a real opportunity to attack the UK business arena and regain the trust and the votes of leading business people in the UK.
