Class warfare to play part in election
It is becoming more and more evident that class warfare will be playing a major role in the forthcoming UK election with Gordon Brown blatantly trying to distance himself from the "privileged" background of David Cameron. However, there are many MPs in many different parties who come from a "privileged background" but would rather that the public were not aware of this.
There is concern within the public domain that the election may well become a battle of the classes because ultimately the economy, prosperity and standard of living for those in the UK should be paramount. If we start voting on the background of a political party or a political leader we could end up in a very big mess in the UK.
Even though Gordon Brown's recent track record on the economy has been open to question there are many who still believe he will go down as one of the finest chancellors in recent times. Hopefully, in due course the election will move on to the critical elements of everyday life in the UK and the "us against them" mentality which some politicians are starting to use should go out of the window.
