Debt is officially bad for your health!
The Consumer Credit Counselling Service has today issued a report into debt in the UK and the effect this has upon relationships and underlying health. The survey found that 37% of those questioned have had problems with their partners because of financial pressure and 22% said this did have an impact upon their relationship with their children. However, it does appear that many people are hiding their financial problems from their partners with many choosing to tell friends and family.
It is no surprise to find there is a link between relationships, health and your financial well-being although the issue of the survey today could well prompt some people to take professional financial advice sooner rather than later. The problem is that the longer you leave your financial problems to fester the more chance they will have an impact upon your everyday life and your health. Pressure is a major problem for many in UK at the moment and it can have disastrous consequences in some circumstances.
It is easy to say that professional advice should be sought as soon as possible but doing this often means admitting mistakes and admitting weaknesses. However, this is a very important part of the overall recovery process and one which everybody will need to go through at some point.
