Are Debit Cards The Answer To Those With Problems Saving?
In these times of very limited, if any, funds available for luxuries and savings it seems that more and more people are spending above their means. A simple trip to the shops can often add up to substantially more than you expected and it can be very difficult to keep your spending under control. But can debit cards help you to control your spending?
The problem for many is that if you take £50 out of the bank for shopping there is every chance that you will spend the bulk on shopping and slowly but surely the balance will disappear, a couple of pounds here a couple of pounds there - it soon adds up!
However, by using debit cards to ensure that you only 'take out' what you spend you will ensure that you do not always have loose change in your pocket to fritter away. If you spend £97.56 on shopping then that s all that will come off your account whereas you might have taken out £100 from a cash machine and the balance would not have lasted too long.
This all may seem very small and irrelevant but over time these small savings will add up and give you that little bit of financial breathing space which could make all the difference.
