Amazon Hits The UK Grocery Market

After dominating the UK online shopping market, Amazon has today opened its own grocery delivery business in direct competition with the likes of Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury's. From today, 20,000 different items will be available via the grocery business including products such as tea, crisps, spices, biscuits and pasta to name but a few, which will be delivered directly by Amazon. Fresh and chilled food items will be delivered directly from the company's suppliers with many experts believing this could increase price competition in the UK supermarket sector.

Does It Really Cost £14,400 A Year To Maintain A Basic Standard Of Living?

A report by the Jacob Rowntree Foundation yesterday cast a dark shadow on low-income families in the UK who appear to have been left high and dry by previous governments. RAC Warns Of Road Pricing System In The Future

A pay as you drive system for the UK road network is inevitable according to the RAC foundation charity which has cited recent forecasts suggesting an increase of 33% in the traffic on UK roads by 2025. The subject of pay as you go driving is something which has been rebuffed by various governments in the past and indeed voters in the UK have given this particular idea the thumbs down. So will the Conservative/Liberal Democrat government be brave enough to bring in pay as you go driving?
